GROUTING AN EASY, FAIRLY AVERAGE,
WELL BEHAVED HOLE

LETTING THE SIMULATION DO THE THINKING FOR YOU

AT 45 MINUTES FROM START

The amount of cement injected so far is 3.87 bags, which is quite appropriate for this water test value.
How do we know that it is appropriate? - By experience.
How is such experience obtained? - By using helping devices such as this simulation, together with actually doing a great deal of grouting yourself.
However the simulation can be run quite effectively even if you are not actually doing grouting. The simulation supplies the experience for you, if you want it to.
In the pretend hole we are grouting, no problems have developed. Let us say that the drop in the surface level of the agitator is very hard to perceive and the pressure gauge shows slight, sluggish response to control valve changes. The sketch shows the possible penetration of grout so far:

Penetration to 45 mins

So the hole is taking the grout at a reasonable rate, and all is going well. So there is no need to change anything and on we go for the next 15 minutes.
